Revival Fitness offers training suited for anyone. We serve athletes seeking to maximize performance, moms or dads trying to adventure into their 70's and 80's, and anyone in between. We know high performing humans require strong hearts, lungs that can endure, powerful bodies, and a mind willing to embrace challenges. With this clear vision, we know that the elite athlete, and the adventurous grandma will benefit from the same training principles:

-Detailed warm up activating metabolic systems and taking joints through full range of motion.
-Suitably challenging, functional movement based workout.
-Thorough cool down bringing body back to parasympathetic nervous system for recovery.
While well rounded fitness is our cornerstone, each session is tailored to meet the needs of the athlete.
Intensity drives results, but it looks different for everyone, so we look for our athletes to bring whatever effort is appropriately challenging that day.
Funtional movements are unavoidable in any enjoyable life:
Picking something up off of the ground
= DEADLIFT
Sitting down and standing up from chair or toilet
= SQUAT
Getting up and down off of the floor
= BURPEE
Reaching up to put something into a cabinet
= OVERHEAD PRESS
Taking groceries from your car to inside your house
= FARMERS CARRY
ect. ect....
These movemenrs directly transfer and mimic all basic daily functions. When we lose our ability to complete these tasks, it is called a loss of functional independence. For example, when we can no longer squat down to the toilet by ourselves, we will eventually have to live in an assisted living facility. So our goal is to build a buffer and have excess capacity, that way when we inevitably do begin to lose function, we decline from excess fitness down to a much higher baseline of funtionality.
